Healers Garden: Understanding Plants & Flowers for Limpias, Tuesday, June 23, 6-7:30pm
Traditionally and throughout time plants have been used to cleanse energies. During this workshop you will learn about the plants and flowers that are used for limpias including local plants that thrive here in Albuquerque. Our instructors will guide you through the entire process of harvesting, using fresh plants for limpias and making a limpia spray. All participants will have the opportunity to take some limpia spray home. These teachings will help you to cleanse energy and bring blessings to you, your family and community. Healers Garden: Herbal Tincture Making, Saturday, July 11, 9am to noon
Learn the art of crafting herbal tinctures using plants gathered fresh from the Healer’s Garden. In this hands-on class, we’ll spend time connecting with the herbs in the garden and gather them for our tinctures. We’ll discover simple and effective tincture-making methods.

Healers Garden: Support for Intergenerational Indigenous Wellness and Childbirth, Tuesday, July 28, 6-7:30pm
In this gathering we will explore how taking care of families, parents to be, toddlers, children, and babies with plant medicine contributes to the healing of our communities. In this plant medicine workshop, we’ll learn how community plant gathering and medicine making with our mineral-rich native plants were strong and essential parts of our community health. We’ll discuss how these plants grew in our fields and gardens in times of abundance and how these were used in healing baths and as seasonings and the base of our traditional meals used during the community event of childbirth. Discover the healing power of herbs for skin health and topical relief. In this hands-on class, we’ll explore the foundations of herbal medicine for external use, including salves, oils, and lotions.
Working with plants gathered from the Healer’s Garden, you’ll learn how to transform herbs into soothing body care remedies that support comfort, nourishment, and pain relief.
